*** More options are available upon inquiry. Price varies on the length of the lesson and location. A $5 travel fee will be applied to lessons at your home. ***
II. Scheduling
1 lesson per week. Before, during, or after school. The location will be at the student's school, a local high school/middle school, or the student's home. Scheduling will be discussed after registration.
Summer Lessons—I offer music lessons and encourage students to continue their musical growth during the summer. I have flexible "A la Carte" pricing for summer lessons. You can adjust the frequency of lessons based on your summer schedule.
III. Attendance & Makeup Lessons
Students are expected to arrive on time and have all music prepared. Time is only added for tardiness if the teacher is late.
Absence/Conflict: Life happens. Communication is key. If you need to cancel the lesson, you must cancel the night before to receive makeup credit.
How to cancel/reschedule:
- TEXT or EMAIL the night before the scheduled lesson
-
you can also go through the website:
- Log into your mymusicstaff account and go to the calendar
- Click on the lesson that has a conflict and select cancel.
-
If canceled in advance, makeup credit will be given
- If canceled on the same day or the student doesn't show, the lesson will be charged (no makeup given)
- If you received credit, contact me to schedule a makeup lesson.
It is the students'/parents' responsibility to use makeup credits. All makeup credits expire on the last day of the studio calendar.
IV - Practicing Between Lessons
Daily practice is the only way to master any skill, including a musical instrument. I recommend 30 minutes at least 5-6 days a week. Try not to skip more than one day.
Parental Involvement in home practice is crucial for student success. Please help your child establish and stick to a practice routine and ensure that practice time is free of distractions (i.e., no texting, TV, multitasking, etc.).
V. Discontinuation Policy
If you must cancel lessons, you must provide ONE MONTH (4 lessons) advance notification.
Example: If you want to cancel your lessons in May, inform me in April. If you inform me on May 1st, you will be charged four lessons, and the lessons will stop at the end of May.
The following situations can lead to discontinuation from lessons at any time upon the teacher’s discretion:
- Lack of payment
- Lack of preparation from the student for consecutive lessons
- Repeated cancellations of lessons
- Repeated “no-shows”
